Way back to Lauren's post on Women

Wow. I just found this post and was glad to see that someone else saw what I did. I was horrified to read about the treatment of women throughout the novel. Kerouac has completely stereotyped men into treating all the women of the book like objects. That particular quote that Lauren pointed out angered me too, when Dean says that Sal should "tryout" Marylou. I found the whole view on women in this book completely disgusting.
