I find Remi so amusing. The first line we hear from him is "Aaaaaaaah!... Aaaaa-haaa! Hoo! Wow! Whee!" If that isn't odd then I don't know what is. He has this whole image on the outisde, the perfect frenchmen who works as a cop, but then when he gets home he strips into his shorts and army cap. I also find it interesting that they are basically poor the entire week but waste all their money on saturdays. And the fact the he gets so into stealing groceries was interesting, but when we find out he gives them to the widow I think we learn about another dimension of his character. Sadly, I don't think We'll be seeing him again.

Also, I find Terry's and Sa's relationship very crucial. It is evident that throughout the entire trip he has been trying to find himself a woman. I can't tell if he really loves her, or if he loves the idea of loving here. Maybe she will bring to stability into his life. We'll see.
