Hi Everyone!
I hope that you are all enjoying your weekend, though I'm sure about now you are all hating me, Kerouac, and this blog. Fear not! You will get through it! Kudos to those who have already posted. Some of what you have written is really interesting. When I was reading again today, I kept thinking about the idea of "sad" and "sadness." Has anyone else noticed how frequently these words are used in the book? What exactly is so sad? Where did this sadness come from? Is there any alternative for it? We will talk about this more in class tomorrow, but begin wrapping your heads around it tonight.
