Is anyone else a little confused about what Sal's values actually are? He seems to know what's right, and tries to do it, but is clearly unsuccessful; he's constantly drinking and stealing. I guess it's the acid....? I was just wondering what exactly his purpose here was, because he's just barely getting by, and all he's looking to do is drink, be with women, and keep moving. Apparently he really is on drugs?
