I've noticed that every time Sal gets himself settled into a new situation or something, he somehow--to put it bluntly--screws it up. Like when he's in his new job, he doesn't really do what he's supposed to, and goes along w/ the bad things Remi suggests. And when he, Remi, & his stepparents are out to dinner, he ruins that too. But it's not necessarily a bad thing, it just means that he doesn't really stay in one place all the time, and he probably doesn't want to anyway.
Also, I thought it was interesting how Sal & Terry each thought the other was a whore & pimp (respectively). It's funny how we always think the worst of people & look for ulterior motives.
