Two things in the whole Remi/Sal time spent together that I was confused about: first of all, when Remi starts doing the whole guilt trip of the "you've let me down" speech, what had Sal done wrong to him? I would understand the Lee Ann thing, as she had been a pretty nasty girlfriend, only dating him for the money that he splurged on her on his days off and whining at him all the rest of the time, but what grievances did he have against Sal? He had stayed away from Lee Ann, which was all that Remi had asked, and contributed all of his earnings to the household except for what he sent home to his aunt to make up for the borrowed money; what's wrong in that? Second, if Sal sees Remi as such a wonderful, gentlemanly, kind person who's also one of his best friends, why does he let the whole attempt to impress Remi's father fall apart so completely as soon as Roland enters the scene? He could have at least tried to shoo him off, or gotten him to act more mature, or at the very least avoided getting completely drunk and making a fool of himself.
