Terry

I know this is a day early, but I had some free time.

Sal realizes that the west side of the country is not so luxurious after all. He compares it to a "jungle" making it appear dark and lonely. I think this is a turning point for him. He realizes that even though New York is cold, there is a sense of comradeship.

I just wanted to say that I really like Terry. She makes Sal appear so much softer to me. Especially, when he would pick cotton and get $1.50 and ride his bike to get them groceries. Personally, I believe having Terry around is helping me grow to like Sal as a person.

I also loved the tight knit family Terry had, well not with her father and mother, but with her friends and brothers. They all look out for her and help, for instance the farmer that allowed Sal to sleep "under the tarantula" in his barn.

Finally, I thought it was funny how everyone's catch phrase was manana.
