oo i know i just posted but i read someone else's aand had something to say.
i'm glad i'm not the only one confused about all the different relationships going on between the group. do they just want to fool around or are they trying to make the other jealous or what? i'm just so confused on what some of their intentions are with others for example, dean really didn't want to be with mary lou anymore but then he wanted to watch her and sal have sex to see how she acted with another man. sal didn't do it, but still doesn't that show that he still cares about her? Or maybe he just doesn't know what he wants.

and also since we've gone over the Beats, I'm noticing so much of that in the book. for example, the idea of first thought=best thought. I think that might be why it's kind of confusing, because the characters are confused and don't know what they want but also because as a beat, kerouac might be confused. Writing his first thoughts may have made it confusing and then also the fact that he was under the influence while he wrote this.
