ok so here's a far fetched idea. remember that guy in the bar who just showed up with a trombone i think, and wanted to play with the band but they wouldn't let him and left, and he tried playing but nobody listened? and then followed the band? I feel like thats Sal. Tries to show up and talk, but gets beaten out by Dean and America and is left to try and toot out his little song, fails, and ends up following Dean around.

Also, Dean coming to see Sal out West is like this black cloud of doom that seems to be following Sal, a good time, but doom. I still love Dean though, he's way too interesting to hate. Poor women though, for allowing Dean into their lives while knowing he's THAT crazy, and shame too everyone for allowing that man to reproduce. Little Dean Jrs running all over the country! I wonder if there are a few out there now....
