And on page 44, Dean calls Carlo the "finest sweetest fel-low in the world." Dean also hides his "rendez-vous" with Carlo from Camille.
And Carlo knows a ridiculous amount about Dean.
I guess you guys have a really good point.
But I think that Dean doesn't really respect women, which is why he just kind of throws them away and interacts with them on a physical level, and doesn't mind ditching them for his friends.
However, he and Carlo have more of an emotional connection, which is why they talk so much. I'm not sure they have anything sexual going on; it might just be a man-crush they have on each other. Many guys I know are such good friends that they would rather spend time with each other than with girls.
