Mooch.

It might just be me, but Sal's laziness is really getting on my nerves. He takes advantage of people right and left, asks people for money, sleeps around, the list could go on and on.

He has a few opportunities to get out of the hole he dug for himself, but instead, he drives himself deeper into debt, etc.

Sal's situation sort of reminds me of Holden's "journey" in The Catcher in the Rye. After a while, Holden really annoyed me because he was a privelaged kid with no self motivation and morals. Sal, although rather underprivelaged, is probably the most apathetic character I've ever encountered.

I mean- his poor old Italian aunt is feeding him all the food in the house at the end of the chapter. That's just not right, man. Get a job.
